Standard
We have implemented measures based on the Sustainability Minimum Standard of the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft BIG in the following areas in particular:
- Phasing out fossil fuels (oil and gas)
- Energy efficiency exceeds the requirements of building regulations: klimaaktiv silver certification
- Overall ecological rating of buildings (Oekoindex OI3 rating)
- Limiting CO2 emissions [kg/(m2a)] caused in the process of operating buildings
- Mandatory lifecycle cost analyses
- Avoiding construction materials that are detrimental to the environment, such as HFCs and PVC
Orojects under development are required to obtain a standard certification that is recognised by the market and is no lower than the klimaaktiv silver certification. To the extent possible, we strive for the highest certification. The certification selected depends on the specific asset class, the form of utilisation and the target group. We continually evaluate, adapt and, wherever necessary, expand our sustainability standard for project development.
